Sweet Balls O’ Fire

Course: Appetizer, Main Dish

Ingredients
  

  • 3 lbs. Ground Meat (Turkey, Lamb or Beef)
  • 2 C. Sioux Z Wow Gourmet Marinade
  • 1 C. Seasoned Breadcrumbs
  • 1 C. Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 C. White wine or chicken broth

Method
 

To Make:
  1. Mix ground meat with 1 cup of Sioux Z Wow. Add bread crumbs and blend well. Add Parmesan and blend again.
  2. Preheat oven to 350F.
  3. Form 1” balls with a meat baller or by hand and place on a cookie sheet lined with foil.
  4. Cook meatballs for 15 minutes. Drain on paper towels. At this point the balls can be frozen for future use.
To Serve:
  1. In a sauce pan or chaffing dish, stir together and bring to a simmer, 1 cup of Sioux Z Wow and 1 cup of wine or broth. Add meatballs. (thawed if frozen).
  2. Heat thoroughly then pour into a serving bowl and serve with toothpicks plus plenty of napkins!!

Sioux Z Wow Glazed Shrimp and Pineapple Skewers

Course: Main Dish

Ingredients
  

  • 16 Jumbo Shrimp peeled and butterflied
  • 1 btl. Sioux Z Wow Gourmet Marinade
  • 32 lrg. Fresh cubes of Pineapple
  • 16 Skewers

Method
 

To Make:
  1. In a saucepan, stove top, bring the entire bottle of Sioux Z Wow to a simmer.
  2. Stirring constantly, reduce the Sioux Z Wow until it is thick and adherent.
  3. When the Sioux Z Wow is thick and bubbly, add half the cubes of pineapple. Toss the pineapple in the Sioux Z Wow while continuing to heat through.
  4. When thoroughly heated and coated, spear each cube onto a skewer and keep warm.
  5. Add the shrimp, open faced into the sauce and cook gently, turning once when the shrimp turn pink and curl into a rams horn shape.
  6. When just cooked, skewer one shrimp onto each skewer behind a cube of pineapple.
  7. Add the remaining pineapple to the hot Sioux Z Wow Glaze pan and toss, making sure to coat all side and heat through.
  8. Skewer a final cube of pineapple behind each shrimp.
To Serve:
  1. Platter all the skewers, pour any remaining Glaze over the tops of the presentation and serve immediately with lots of napkins.

Naughty Spicy Nuts

Course: Appetizer

Ingredients
  

  • 1 T. Black Pepper
  • 2 t. Kosher Salt
  • 2 T. Sioux Z Wow Gourmet Marinade
  • 1/2 C. Butter
  • 1/2 C. Golden Brown Sugar packed
  • 4 t. Water
  • 2 2/3 C. Blanched Almonds (or your favorite nut)

Method
 

To Make:
  1. Mix salt and black pepper in a bowl. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the Sioux Z Wow, sugar and water. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. Add the almonds and cook, constantly stirring until the mixture (sauce) thickens and sticks to the nuts. (About 5 minutes). Sprinkle with half of the salt and pepper mixture and stir to incorporate throughout.
To Roast:
  1. Line a baking sheet with foil. Coat it lightly with butter.
  2. Transfer the nut mixture to the baking sheet. Working quickly with a rubber spatula, spread and separate the nuts across the pan.
  3. Sprinkle the remaining salt and pepper mixture over the top evenly.
To Serve:
  1. Once cooled, the nuts can be broken into sections like brittle and stored in air tight containers. Offer at your party along with a glass of nice champagne!!
  2. They also make an enticing hostess gift.

Love Me Tenders with Amazing Glaze

Course: Main Dish

Ingredients
  

Love Me Tenders
  • 2 Turkey Tenders
  • 1/2 C. Sioux Z Wow Gourmet Marinade
Amazing Glaze
  • 2 T. Sioux Z Wow Gourmet Marinade
  • 4 T. Dijon Mustard
  • 2 T. Apricot Preserves
  • 1 t. Ground Ginger

Method
 

To Marinate:
  1. Put turkey tenders in a zip top bag and add ½ C. Sioux Z Wow. Marinate 1+ hour.
To Cook:
  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Place tenders in a foil lined baking dish. Mix the glaze ingredients together and spoon ½ of mixture over the tenders.
  3. Cover with foil and bake 25 min. or until just beyond pink. (165 degrees).
To Serve:
  1. Remove from oven and let rest a couple minutes. Place tenders on a cutting board and slice into ¼” slices on the diagonal.
  2. Serve with the rest of the Amazing Glaze swirled over the top.

Yummy Yams with Jammin’ Ginger Glaze

Ingredients
  

For Yams
  • 2 Lg. Yams
  • 8 T. Sioux Z Wow Gourmet Marinade
  • 2 T. Butter
For Ginger Glaze
  • 4 T. Sioux Z Wow Gourmet Marinade
  • 4 T. Ginger Marmalade
  • 2 T. Butter softened

Method
 

To Cook:
  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Wash yams and pat dry.
  2. Smear a bit of butter using your hands to rub all sides. Wrap in foil and place in a baking dish.
  3. Place in oven and bake for 1 1/2 hours.
To Make Glaze:
  1. Incorporate Sioux Z Wow, Ginger Marmalade and softened butter in a bowl with a whisk.
To Serve:
  1. Remove yams from oven and peel off skins. Put in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add Sioux Z Wow Jammin’ Ginger Glaze and “smash” together. Put an additional pat of butter on top and serve.

turkey tostada

Turkey Tostada with Sassy Black Beans

Course: Main Dish

Ingredients
  

Turkey Tostadas
  • 2 C. Cooked Turkey bite sized pieces
  • 4 T. Sioux Z Wow Gourmet Marinade
  • 2 C. Sassy Black Beans* drained
  • 4 Tortillas or Tortilla Shells crisp
  • 4 C. Lettuce Shredded
  • 2 med. Tomatoes diced
  • 1 C. Guacamole
  • 1 C. Sour Cream
  • 1 C. Cheddar Cheese grated
*Sassy Black Beans
  • 1 lb. Black Beans dried
  • 1 lrg can Chicken Broth 49 oz
  • 1 C. Sioux Z Wow Gourmet Marinade

Method
 

To Make Tostada:
  1. On four separate dishes, place one of the tortillas. Spread ½ cup of Sassy Black Beans* on each tortilla.
  2. Top each tostada with lettuce, tomato and turkey. Divide guacamole to form the next layer on each creation.
  3. Drizzle 1T. Sioux Z Wow over the guacamole on each plate. Garnish each with sour cream and shredded cheese.
To Make Sassy Black Beans:
  1. Wash beans in a colander then soak in a bowl with 5+ cups of water overnight. (make certain beans are generously covered with water).
  2. Drain beans and put in a large pot. Add Sioux Z Wow and chicken broth.
  3. Cover and bring to a soft boil. Cook for 1 ½ hour or until beans are tender adding water if liquid get too scarce.
To Serve:
  1. Serve immediately…especially with a side dish of Sioux Z Wow for more flair!!

“Oh My” Turkey Pot Pie

Course: Main Dish

Ingredients
  

  • 1 C. Cooked Turkey cubed
  • 8-10 T. Sioux Z Wow Gourmet Marinade
  • 1 T. olive oil
  • 2 Cans Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 1 Onion (small) chopped
  • 1 lb. Mixed Vegetables frozen
  • 1 pkg. Prepared Pie Crusts 2 crusts
  • 1 T. Butter for basting crusts

Method
 

To Make:
  1. Mix turkey with 6-8 T. Sioux Z Wow and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a sauté pan and cook onion till soft. (about 5 min.) Add turkey and heat through.
  3. Roll out one pie crust for the bottom and form to a deep dish pie plate. Fork holes in the crust to release steam.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together 2-4 T. Sioux Z Wow with 4 T. Mushroom Soup. Spread onto bottom of the pie shell.
  5. In another bowl, mix the turkey/onion mixture, mixed vegetables and enough mushroom soup to fill the pie. Pour filling into pie and smooth to fill cavity.
  6. With the top crust folded in half, cut three 2” diagonal openings on the folded edge. Place folded crust over half the pie and unfold to cover the entire top.
  7. Pinch top and bottom crusts together to seal in juices. With a pastry brush, paint the top crust lightly with butter.
  8. Bake at 350F for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
To Serve:
  1. Remove from oven. Cut into wedges and serve with a green salad.

Margarita Turkey Fettuccine

Course: Main Dish

Ingredients
  

  • 3 Pkgs. Fresh Fettuccine 9 oz. each
  • 2 T. Butter
  • 4 C. Cooked Turkey cubed
  • 2 T. Gold Tequila
  • 1 Lime juiced
  • 1 Btl. Sioux Z Wow Gourmet Marinade
  • 1 1/2 C. Heavy Cream
  • 1 Red Pepper thinly sliced
  • 1 Yellow Pepper thinly sliced
  • 1 Green pepper thinly sliced
  • 4 Green Onions sliced

Method
 

To Make:
  1. Melt butter in a saucepan. (Meanwhile, Boil salted water and cook pasta al dente. Drain and keep warm.)
  2. Add turkey and heat through.
  3. Add Sioux Z Wow, lime juice, tequila and cream. Stir and bring to a full simmer. Cook until sauce begins to thicken.
  4. Add peppers and cook until peppers are slightly limp and sauce is thick and creamy.
To Serve:
  1. Portion pasta into bowls or plates. Pour sauce over the warn fettuccine and toss.
  2. Garnish with green onions and serve hot!

Honey Holiday Ham with Orange Bourbon Glaze

Course: Main Dish

Ingredients
  

  • 7-8 lbs. Bone in Ham (even easier-use a canned ham) fully Cooked
  • 1 C. Sioux Z Wow Gourmet Marinade
  • 1 C. Orange Juice
  • 3-4 T. Burobon
  • 1 T. Orange Peel (Optional) Grated or Zested

Method
 

To Cook:
  1. Preheat oven to 325F.
  2. Place ham on a rack in a shallow roasting pan.
  3. Insert meat thermometer into center away from bone. Bake until internal temp. is 130 degrees. (about 2 hours)
To Make Glaze:
  1. Combine Sioux Z Wow and orange juice in a sauce pan with a whisk.
  2. Slowly whisk in honey over low heat. Raise heat to medium.
  3. Bring to a simmer and cook uncovered, stirring frequently.
  4. Reduce liquid to approximately ½ or 1C.
To Serve:
  1. Take ham from oven.
  2. Using a sharp knife, cut/lift off skin and fat. (A canned ham skips this step).
  3. Make diagonal cuts to form a diamond pattern into the top of the ham. Brush Ham liberally with the Orange Bourbon Glaze.
  4. Put back in the oven for a few (5_10) minutes.
  5. Remove and brush twice more with the glaze. Slice into portions and platter or plate to serve with, of course, more “sauce on the side”.
