09 Jul 15 Bean Soup made with Ham Hocks
Ingredients
- 1 lb. bag 15 beans dried
- 1 cup Sioux Z Wow Marinade
- 1 Lg. can Chicken, Beef or Veg. broth (49oz)
- 2 Smoked Ham Hocks (optional)
- 1 Med. Red Onion chopped

Instructions
To Make:
- Wash beans and place in water overnight. Drain and rinse.
To Cook:
- Put beans in a large pot with broth and cook over med. heat for 40 min.
- Stir occasionally.
- Add ham hocks and Sioux Z Wow and simmer together on low heat for 1 hr.
To Serve:
- Serve in big bowls with onion sprinkled on top and some crusty bread for dipping.
To Make Vegetarian:
- eliminate the ham hocks and use vegetable broth.
